Montieth & Company is hiring a full-time Senior Associate to assist our New York team
with public affairs, crisis management and media relations.

A candidate should have experience with city, state and federal government and
knowledge about policy-making, media relations, and exhibit intellectual curiosity and
self-motivation. Montieth&Co Associates are highly skilled, committed, self-driven,
responsible, hard-working and client-oriented individuals with diverse backgrounds,
knowledge and experience.

A Senior Associate will spend most of their time working with the Head of our Public
Affairs practice on creating strategy proposals, strategy execution, daily client service,
new business, corporate initiatives, research and advancing the interests of our clients
in city, state and federal governments. He or she will work on securing interviews,
creating media and website content, pitching the reporters, organizing events, and
legislative monitoring. No job is too small or too big for our Senior Associates, who
provide critical support to our team and to the CEO.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Advanced knowledge of New York City, New York State and federal politics
  • Event organizing
  • Media knowledge and media communications (1 year minimum)
  • Community organizing
  • 4-6 years of overall work experience (internships and volunteer work excluded)
  • Has held a client-facing role for at least 2 years
  • Experience managing staff or interns is desirable
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
